An unexpected unputdownable thriller by Chetan Bhagat ! I have been reading Chetan for quite a some time now and I really feel that he has changed his writing plot . I have read a total of 5 Chetan novels. This was my sixth one and I completely forgot that it is a Chetan novel. Coming on to the book, it is a golden escape from reality for Thrill / Mystery / Crime lovers. The essence of Bromance is beautifully disclosed. Again a bit of foul language is used but I hope we can ignore it because the story is so damn nice. So, basically, two friends Keshav and Saurabh try to solve the murder mystery of Zara Lone aka Keshav`s Ex. Plot twists of this book makes it incredible piece. Language is so concise and subtle that even one lazy read will provide you profound understanding of the story. Just go for it! One of my favourite quote from the book -
“One shows more warmth before ending a wrong number call.”

If you love a thriller mystery so you should read this novel . And if you are a normal reader so you can easily finish this novel maximum in 3 days because the language of this novel is so simple and easy .

It is not a love story but an unlove story but you will understand at the last page how it is unlove for someone to someone by someone .❤️ Chetan bhagat writes uptodate issues and psyche of modern day lovers .
From youth love problems to Kashmir problem and also touch of detective activities which a lover can do for her .
A triangle love story which is quite interesting and
full of suspicious scenarios a bit of confusing also .
.
I specially recommend this novel to beginners who wants to adopt a reading habit because the language is easy and the story is also interesting and relevant to modern day tags . .

Okay, to begin with, the first question which arises is why would one buy this book??

Pretty cool. But the answer is really simple.

The name of the author, the simple language in which he writes, the book cover along with its title, and many more such things. But what differentiates it from others is the fact that it’s not a love story . It’s an UNLOVE STORY.

Yes, you heard it right. Though it’s not like it doesn’t has a love angle embedded in it, but the story basically focuses on a thriller genre which keeps the reader hooked till the very end. So, since the author tried this genre of thriller for the very first time where mystery unfolds step by step, a great round of applause for him.
It starts up with a conversation of Chetan Bhagat with a fellow passenger who makes him listen to his unlove story. The passenger’s name was ‘Keshav Purohit’- the protagonist of this story. Or in this case, our very intelligent mystery solver hero.
Keshav, an IITian, fells for Zara Lone, a beautiful Kashmiri muslim girl, pursuing PhD. The feelings eventually grew and they came in a relationship. But just like any other Hindu-Muslim story, parents didn’t agree because of religious issues. Meanwhile, things happened and they parted ways. Zara agreed to marry another guy. But Keshav loved zara too much. He couldn’t forget her. There is the mention of a guy named Sourav, who was Keshav’s friend and he helped him a lot in every struggle he faced. I personally loved there friendship a lot. One random night, Keshav receives a text from Zara asking him to meet her in her hostel room 105. It was Zara’s bday that night. He reached there and what happens next changes the story to another direction. Zara was laying on the bed- ‘lifeless’. Yes, she was dead. The story then revolves around finding the one who killed Zara. Our protagonist Keshav goes through many obstacles and lastly succeeds in finding out who the murderer was. Kudos to him.
The story beautifully describes Kashmir’s issue, the life and living there, the Zihadi’s angle. Great work.
There are other important characters in the story like Zara’s parents; Sikander,Zara’s stepbrother;the investigating police officer; prof. Saxena, Zara’s PhD guide; an army official who holds a great place in the story; Zara’s fiancé and many more.
All I would say is, for a one time read, go through it once. It’s worth reading. As for entertainment quotient, it definitely owes all the ingredients needed.

So what are you waiting for?? Go, pick up the book along with a cup of coffee and start reading.
You won’t be disappointed I assure you.

Thank you for the read lovely readers.
