'Three mistakes of my life' is one of the best work of Chetan Bagath. It is a story about friend ship , cricket , and business.A young boy(Govind) in Ahmedabad dreamt to become a businessman. With his friends (Omi,Ishaan)he started a cricket shop.They face all the calamities through their way.This novel gave me the thrill like watching a movie.'Three mistakes of my life' is one of my favourite novel and so Chetan is my favourite novelist. I suggest   all of you read this book at least once. Really amazing.(collage romance season 2)
This book revolves around the story of three friends and Ali. This book actually is a combination of love, friendship, action and full of twists. So I dont think this book can be classified in a particular genre. I remember I read 191 pages in a day. I finished it within 3 days.
A film was released in 2013, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajkumar Rao and Amit Sadh named Kai Po Che. Although the screenplay was changed a bit by Chetan Bhagat but I guess if the ending shown in Kai Po Che would have been there in The 3 Mistakes of My Life, it could have forced me to give 5 stars.
But, except that, the book is worth reading.
This is the First Book I picked up to read during my Train journey from Bombay to Calcutta way back in 2012.I was always attracted to books and since my school days I would keep reading books from my school library about topics of history and political science which were my favorite subjects in school.
However my reading journey started with this book thanks to the Author as he was a bestseller in India those days and alot of young adults would often speak about his books and that is how I started reading this one aswell.
Just read it a few days ago. 
My first experience with a Chetan Bhagat novel......
Really amazing one ...reading gave me an experience just like watching a movie  (friendship - love -action - twist-)
The three amazing friends - govind ,ishaan and aumi - just hitted me and made me read the book within 2 days .
The book also discusses the political issues which even exists today.
U may really love ishaan &the little hero Ali after reading this  
But there is also a twist which would make you cry
